Aidan (11:36:55 PM): Following behind him, I shoved my hands into my pockets. Adri was crying by the time I got in there. Spiders were one of her big fears. I scooped her up easily into my arms, wiping at her cheeks.
Aidan (11:39:11 PM): "Aww... love, I'm sorry... look, the spiders down there. He's not going to hurt you..."
Phoenix (11:54:22 PM): With a sigh, I cupped the spider in my hand and carried it to the window. I opened it up and set the spider outside, then shut the window again.

Aidan (12:29:06 AM): "S-Sorry..." I stammered a bit over my words, bringing my attention back to Adri. "You alright sweetheart?" She nodded at me, the small blonde pigtails bouncing on her head, and I set her down.
Phoenix (12:32:41 AM): I shook my head a bit, gazing down at Lilly. She had huge tears in her eyes and her lower lip was trembling. "Love...what is it?" I reached for her but she shrank back.
Aidan (12:33:21 AM): Adri stood next to me, grabbing my hand a little and looking at Lilly and back to me, confused but staying quiet.
Phoenix (12:43:19 AM): "Lilly....sweetie..."I knelt down, opening my arms. "Come here, love." She shook her head, tears slipping over her cheeks. "I want Da Da."
Aidan (12:43:49 AM): I bit on the side of my cheek, looking at Nix and back at Lilly.

Phoenix (12:50:22 AM): I'd never had to go through this before. Why now? Why in front of them? Why did she have to want him when he wasn't here for me to give? I felt an ache in my chest and I wanted to scream and rage and cry.
Aidan (12:51:19 AM): I pulled lightly on Adri's hand and she seemed to understand, starting to walk out of the room. We sat in the living room, her on my lap. "What's wrong with Wiwwy?"
Phoenix (12:56:30 AM): "Lilly, baby..." I tried to touch her again and she ran to her bed, crawling up into it and pulling her stuffed kangaroo to her chest. "Go way, Daddy."She said, muffled as she ducked her head under the blanket. I felt my heart break. I wasn't enough anymore. I knew I wouldn't be, but I hadn't expected it like this. To happen so suddenly. With a heavy weight in the pit of my stomach, I slipped out of her room and went to the livingroom again.
Aidan (12:57:12 AM): We both looked up when he came into the room, me worried and Adri completly oblivious.
Phoenix (1:01:24 AM): "I'm sorry about that, sweetheart,"I said softly to Adrianna. "Looks like Lilly's having a bad day."
Aidan (1:02:31 AM): She nodded at his words, her cheeks puffed out as she pulled on my sleeve. "Go talk to Wiwwy, Aidan..." She looked up at me, pouting and her eyes blue. "I don't know, love..."
Phoenix (3:21:17 PM): I bit on my lip and blew out a little huff of air. "She'd probably talk to you more than she'd talk to me at the moment" I sighed and slid down into the chair, resting my forehead in my hands.
Aidan (3:21:54 PM): "M-me? I... if you want me to...?" I bit on my lip. I wasn't bad with little kids, my mom and dad always used me against my brother and sisters.

Phoenix (3:27:27 PM): I didn't want her to resent me. There was nothing I could do. I couldn't give her what she asked of me. "She resents me,"I said quietly.
Aidan (3:27:51 PM): I shook my head a little bit. "I don't think thats it..."
Phoenix (3:29:43 PM): I gazed up at him, eyes full of loss. "I can't give him to her, Aidan. I wish to god that I had that power. But I can't do it. It's the only thing she wants and I..."I paused, swallowing over a lump in my throat. "I can't...give it to her..."My voice broke and I looked down again.
Aidan (3:37:51 PM): I stood up, lifting up Adri and setting her on the couch. She looked from me, to Phoenix, and slid off the couch over to him. She touched his arm with her little pudgy hands as I disappeared into Lilly's bedroom.
Phoenix (3:39:36 PM): I felt the small hand on my arm and looked at Adrianna. I gave her the best smile I could muster. "Hey there, pretty girl." In Lilly's room, she still lay curled up beneath her blankets and little sobs could be heard.
Aidan (3:42:33 PM): It felt awkward for just a short moment, until the sound of her crying met my ears. I couldn't help feeling...guilty, almost... I stepped across her room, sitting on the edge of the small bed. "Hey, Lilly..."
Aidan (3:43:02 PM): Adri smiled at Phoenix just a little, "Aidan always makes me fweel better..."
Phoenix (3:48:11 PM): I nodded a bit, patting her soft blond hair. "He has a knack for that, doesn't he?" I tried to smile just a bit more as I thought of my baby girl, so small....too small to have to deal with this. "Go way, Aidan."

Aidan (3:53:49 PM): There it was again... that clamp down on my heart. I picked her up easily and hugged her to me. "He's always with you, Lilly.... even i f you can't see him, he's there..." I looked down at her.
Phoenix (3:55:45 PM): She struggled in his arms, crying and small whimpery noises falling past her lips. "Leave me 'lone. I want my Da Da. LEAVE ME 'LONE!"
Aidan (5:28:09 PM): "Look at me... Lillian Madelyne..." I was surprised by the sound of authority... familiarity... like I'd said this before... or like it belonged.
Phoenix (5:30:05 PM): She blinked, staring at him wide-eyed. Her mouth opened and closed by no sound came out.
Aidan (5:32:44 PM): I lightly touched her cheek, brushing tears away. "I know you miss him, love... and I know it's hard for you... but you have to trust me when I say he's still with you even if you can't see him..."
Phoenix (5:56:36 PM): She sniffled and moved away from his hand. "Where's Daddy? I made him cwy."
Aidan (5:57:05 PM): "In the front room... do you want to go talk to him?"
Phoenix (5:57:58 PM): She sniffled again and nodded.
Aidan (6:00:03 PM): Smiling just faintly, I picked her up without another word and held her in my arms, walking to the door of the room-
Phoenix (6:07:13 PM): I sat back in my seat, running fingers through my hair. Who knew what they were talking about.
Aidan (6:07:32 PM): "Anything else you want to tell me before we go out there?" I asked her softly.

Aidan (6:21:46 PM): I laughed just softly, touching the tip of her nose. "We all have bad days, beautiful. I'm sure daddy will understand..." I opened the door slowly, carefully, in case she had anything else to say.
Phoenix (6:37:06 PM): She smiled and leaned up in his arms, kissing his cheek.
Aidan (6:39:15 PM): Smiling, I carried her out of the room and into the front.
Phoenix (6:42:41 PM): I looked up and saw Aidan come in holding her and my heart skipped a beat.
Aidan (6:46:16 PM): "I think she has something she wants to say to you..." I held onto her, still, and stood in front of him.
Phoenix (6:48:48 PM): I looked up at her, my eyes sad. "I'm sowwy, Daddy. I wuv you." She held out her arms to me and I gladly took her.
Aidan (6:49:17 PM): Adri sat beside Phoenix, silent and curious looking as ever as I stood there, feeling out of place all over again.
Phoenix (6:51:07 PM): I kissed the top of her head, and then looked at Aidan and Adri. "I think we should take you two lovely little bits to the park. Get some fresh air. How's taht sound?"
Aidan (6:51:51 PM): I smiled at him, nodding, and Adri jumped towards me out of excitment, "Can we eat McWonalds?" She looked up at me, hopeful, and I laughed. "Maybe... if you're good."
Phoenix (6:52:31 PM): "Oh dear. Another one."I chuckled as Lilly had started to nod enthusiastically.
Aidan (6:54:10 PM): "I think we've been cornered..." My eyes twinkled a little as I looked at him.
Phoenix (7:04:49 PM): "Apparently, we have. But who could resist these two?"
Aidan (7:05:19 PM): "Well, I know I can't. She's been getting me in trouble for the last four years."
Phoenix (7:14:08 PM): I chuckled. "Yeah, I know what you mean. I've spoiled this little miss rotten." I scooped her up and held her on my hip. "All right, peoples. Let's get outta here." I headed to the door, snatching my keys off the table.
Aidan (7:14:55 PM): I did the same with Adri. It had to do with paranoia. I didn't want her running off on me when holding her was easy. I followed him, stepping outside on the porcj./
Phoenix (7:20:54 PM): After I'd locked the door, I headed to my car. I opened the back door and situated Lilly in her carseat.
Aidan (7:21:58 PM): "Do you want us to meet you there?"
Phoenix (7:24:51 PM): I glanced at him. "What sense would that make? Or are you afraid of my driving?" I smirked.
Aidan (7:25:42 PM): I laughed a little bit, "Well, I didn't know..." I opened the back car door and Adri crawled in.
Phoenix (7:26:30 PM): I shook my head with a smile and went to get in the driver's seat. "All right. All little ladies ready?" I looked over at him with a grin.
Aidan (7:28:19 PM): They both shook their heads inthusiastically and I smiled, getting in aswell. "I think thats a yes."

Phoenix (8:23:49 PM): I chuckled and pulled out of the driveway, heading to the local town. "DADDY! put on moosic!"
Aidan (8:24:09 PM): I bit on my lip, grinning and trying not to laugh.
Phoenix (8:34:25 PM): "What kind of moosic, huh, Lilly baby?" I grinned at her through the rearview. "Gween Day!"
Aidan (8:35:19 PM): I could instantly feel my face brighten up grinning. I loved Green Day... but I guess a lot of people do.
Phoenix (8:36:53 PM): I nodded and popped in the CD, and instantly, "American Idiot" started. "I taught her well," I said to him with a laugh.
Aidan (8:37:41 PM): "I'm going to have to agree..." I went into the song, like I always did when I was listening to it.

Phoenix (8:52:14 PM): He had a nice voice and I had to smile as I drove along and heard Adri and Lilly in the backseat giggling.
Aidan (8:55:41 PM): I even went as far to bang imaginary drums. Call me stupid, but I was normally this hyper... I was starting to feel a little more myself.
Phoenix (8:58:08 PM): I bit my lip to hold back a laugh. This kid was a definite nutter. And I liked it.
Aidan (9:05:33 PM): We got to the park after a few minutes... it, like his house, looked familiar. I frowned suddenly, that feeling of normalcy fading fast.
Phoenix (9:09:40 PM): "Here we are, little bits." I pulled the car into a parking spot and turned it off.
Aidan (9:12:25 PM): Getting out of the car, I went around and opened the door. Both the girls scooted out together after I got the carseat undone.
Phoenix (9:13:12 PM): I locked the car and stretched a bit, t-shirt hiking up.
Aidan (9:14:11 PM): When they ran off towards the slide, I looked over at him. I could feel a small twinge of lust hit me, tingling down to my toes.
Phoenix (9:18:47 PM): I shivered a bit as my back cracked and scratched at the tattoo on my left hip as I gazed at Lilly and Adri with a small smile.
Aidan (9:19:44 PM): I swallowed and looked away, shoving my hands in my pockets and walking towards the playground area and sitting on a bencjh.
Phoenix (9:23:21 PM): They were adorable, swinging together. It made me happy as I plopped down in front of the bench on the grass, indian-style.
Aidan (9:24:38 PM): I watched him for a moment before sliding down to sit beside him.
Phoenix (9:25:46 PM): I glanced over at him, grinning. "I sent some of your portfolio work to a professor at the art school in London."
Aidan (9:27:02 PM): I blinked a little and looked over at him, "Why?"
Phoenix (9:27:56 PM): "Because they asked me to if I ever found a student that was exceptional." I said simply.
Aidan (9:29:24 PM): "Oh..." I looked down at the grass, toying with a blade.

Aidan (9:39:49 PM): "No... I mean... it's alright... I am an art major..." Rubbing at my arm nervously once more, I looked at him. "I... about Lilly, Phoenix..."
Phoenix (9:46:29 PM): I quirked a brow. "What about her?"
Aidan (9:48:28 PM): I looked at him like he had three heads. "I don't think she feels like he's in her life enough... I mean I know he can't be, but..." I trailed off, shaking my head.
Phoenix (9:56:28 PM): I frowned, looking away. "What can I do about that, huh? It's not like I can fix it."
Aidan (9:57:19 PM): "I mean it's just... I told her she was always with him... and it didn't seem like she looked at it like he was always watching her... am I making any sense?"
Phoenix (10:00:49 PM): I nodded a bit. "I get what you mean, Aidan."
Aidan (10:01:41 PM): I pulled my legs up and held with my arms around them. "She kept telling me to go away... until I used her full name..." I said quietly.
Phoenix (10:04:23 PM): I glanced back over him. "How did you even know her full name?"

Phoenix (10:24:54 PM): Furrowing my brows, I stared over at the two girls. "It's like everything else you just seem to know about..."I say quietly.
Aidan (10:25:24 PM): "I don't know anything, Phoenix..." I swallowed, feeling suddenly on the spot.

Phoenix (11:35:54 PM): I stared at him in disbelief. He'd sounded like him right then and it scared the fuck out of me. "I...I never said I wanted anything from you."
Aidan (11:36:12 PM): "Then why does it feel like you do?!"
Phoenix (11:39:41 PM): "I..." I paused, unable to find my voice. "I never asked anything of you...not once...."
Aidan (11:43:33 PM): I furrowed my eyebrows and shook my head again, looking away. "I never said you asked.
Phoenix (11:46:50 PM): Swallowing again, I wrung my hands and let out a little sigh, unsure of what to say now.
Aidan (11:50:36 PM): "She looked at me like I was her dad."
Phoenix (11:51:18 PM): My heart clenched in my chest and I turned to look him in the eyes. "Well...she's two. You look like him. She was confused."
Aidan (11:52:11 PM): "It wasn't because I look like him..." I looked at him, glaring now. "It was the way I said her name... I... I don't know..."

Aidan (12:08:32 AM): Biting on the inside of my cheek, I'd been doing that a lot today, I watched her and felt my heart break alittle.
Phoenix (12:10:10 AM): "No." She said and came over to him. "Aidan, make a wish." She beamed at him, holding up her little hand.
Aidan (12:10:59 AM): I blinked a little and smiled just a little bit, holding her small hand in mine and closing my eyes. I wished for understanding and opened them again. "Alright... I made my wish."
Phoenix (12:14:30 AM): She grinned and let the ladybug fly away. Then she quickly pecked his cheek and ran off again.
Aidan (12:15:06 AM): As she left I sighed and looked down at the grass between my legs.
Phoenix (12:16:50 AM): "She really does like you."

Phoenix (12:22:20 AM): I smiled a bit. "She's got good taste for a three year old."

Phoenix (12:31:09 AM): He'd called me Nix. Jesus Christ. What next? Was he gonna suddenly call me Stat?
Aidan (12:33:16 AM): I looked at him, a bit unevenly, and sighed. "Sorry, I just... today hasn't really felt normal at all."
Phoenix (12:33:48 AM): I shook my head. "Dont apologize. It's all right."
Aidan (12:39:07 AM): "M-Maybe we should just call it a day...'
Phoenix (12:49:57 AM): I frowned. "If that's what you want."
Aidan (12:53:01 AM): I didn't look at him for a long moment, watching the girls play... watching Adri push Lilly on a swing.
Phoenix (2:19:36 AM): I didn't know what to feel anymore. I was scared. I was hurt. But I didn't want to push him away. I really didn't.
Aidan (2:22:59 AM): I felt like a little kid next to him. That was how he made me feel.
Phoenix (2:25:06 AM): I rubbed my forehead and looked at him from beneath my lashes. "Those two over there are friends. And I think we could be too, Aidan, if we let ourselves be."
Aidan (2:32:58 AM): I didn't look at him, only nodding my head. I felt depressed... I felt confused... I didn't feel like Aidan Andrew Waters anymore.
Phoenix (2:34:13 AM): I played with a strand of my hair, pulling at it and biting my nail. It was a nervous habit I'd never gotten over.
Aidan (2:48:12 AM): I yawned a little bit and stretched my arms out in front of me, shaking the hair on my head.
Phoenix (2:49:15 AM): I couldn't help watching him out of the corner of my eye. He was...yeah. I shook my head to make the thought go away.
Aidan (2:50:29 AM): Tucking a strand behind my head, I could feel myself getting sleepy. I'd spent a long, intimate, night with my oils and smugding things on paper.
Phoenix (2:52:34 AM): I looked away and saw Adri and Lilly now lying on the grass, plucking flowers. A small smile came to my face.
Aidan (2:56:47 AM): "I remember doing that..." Smiling just faintly, I continued watching them.
Phoenix (2:57:53 AM): "Yeah...it always calmed me." I grinned and slipped my digital camera out of my back pocket. Setting it on b/w, I arranged the shot and took a picture of them.
Aidan (2:58:09 AM): I laughed just a little. "You stole my idea.
Phoenix (2:59:59 AM): Grinning over at him, I tilted the camera to the side and snapped a pic of him too. "I'll print you out a copy."
Aidan (3:00:37 AM): Laughing a little, I stuck my tounge out at him.
Phoenix (3:02:13 AM): I snapped another pic of that. "Now that one was just priceless."
Aidan (3:03:01 AM): I shook my head. "I'm sure it was..." I clicked on my own camera and held it out to show him. It was my Dad with my little brother.
Phoenix (3:04:31 AM): I smiled as I gazed at the picture. "I like that." I nodded and glanced at him, eyes alight.
Aidan (3:05:53 AM): "It's my dad... my little brother Drew..." I smiled just a little, looking at the picture myself.
Phoenix (3:07:39 AM): "Cute kid. Looks like you." I admired the picture, remembering myself with my own dad and smiling to myself.
Aidan (3:08:07 AM): "Yeah, takes after me too. He's almost as good as talking his way out of things."
Phoenix (3:09:13 AM): I laughed a bit. "Oh, I'm sure. Lilly knows how to do the pouting thing pretty damn well. Gets me every time."

Aidan (3:29:00 AM): I clicked the camera off and started putting it into my bag when my cell phone rang, "Ello... yeah... Oh, shit... I completly forgot! Yeah, Adri wouldn't leave me alone this morning about going to see a friend of hers... yeah... my mom had classes and dad's at work..."
Aidan (3:29:52 AM): "Yeah, I know... Mike... yeah... I'm sorry, ok? Yeah yeah... I'll see you in a few hours, ok? Alright... love you too, mate... later..." I clicked the phone shut.
Phoenix (3:30:26 AM): "Missing a date, huh?" I smirked. "Gotta love little siblings."
Aidan (3:31:24 AM): I shrugged a little, shoving my phone back in my pocket, "Well, see... I mean he knows I've got things to go. I'm always watching her." Shaking my head a little, I sighed and tugged out a small cigarette.
Phoenix (3:33:15 AM): "Yeah. I never had to worry about missing out because of younger siblings. I was an only. Except for my cousin I looked after a bit."
Aidan (3:34:48 AM): "I had a few years free until those two were born..." I shook my head. "Imagine being 14 and suddenly theres a baby in the house." I laughed a little, lighting the cigarette and blowing the smoke away from us.
Aidan (3:35:13 AM): "You know, I don't see the point of these but I've been smoking them for months now."
Phoenix (3:35:54 AM): I opened my mouth to speak, then closed it. I shook my head a bit. They were the kind of cigarettes Caiden had smoked. "Huh. Maybe it's stress."
Aidan (3:36:25 AM): "Nah... just a fad, you know? Light up a fag and get a conversation going." I joked.
Aidan (3:37:10 AM): "Nah... just a fad, you know? Light up a fag and get a conversation going about why you bother with them./" I joked.**
Phoenix (3:40:17 AM): I chuckled. "Well, as long as you have a good reason for it." I joked back.
Aidan (3:41:56 AM): I smilked just a little, grinding it out before id even gotten half way done with it. I flicked the bud up into the trash behind us and looked back at him.
Phoenix (3:42:58 AM): "Now that was talent."I chuckled. "All you gotta have now is the dark glasses and the leather jacket."
Aidan (3:45:33 AM): "Not to mention pants too tight. I think I own a pair of straightlegs."
Phoenix (3:47:09 AM): "Oh man. There ya go." I smirked. "You'd be like Kinicky."
Aidan (3:48:01 AM): "Without the years old condom and the slicked bakc hair.,"
Phoenix (3:50:06 AM): I clamped my lips together to keep in the laugh. "Yeah. Wouldn't wanna impregnate Rizzo now."
Aidan (3:52:27 AM): "Of course not. Or Rizardo. Got to make it a guy, you know?" I joked softly.
Phoenix (3:53:45 AM): I chuckled. "Right. Sorry. Rizardo. Gotta remember that one."
Aidan (3:58:53 AM): "Better remember that one." I laughed.
Phoenix (4:00:21 AM): The grin on my face spread from ear to ear. "I don't forget things easily, even in my old age."
Aidan (4:02:17 AM): "Well, you are like... 25 or something. You're getting there."
Phoenix (4:02:43 AM): I laughed and fell back onto the grass. "Yeah. I'm gonna need a walker soon."
Aidan (4:03:49 AM): "And a hearing aid."
Phoenix (4:05:05 AM): "Damn. Yeah, that too."
Aidan (4:06:19 AM): Smiling a bit, I laid back too, hearing Adri and Llly giggle.
Phoenix (4:08:34 AM): "Then I'll be in a nursing home before I'm thirty." I chuckled and ran my fingers through my hair.
Aidan (4:08:57 AM): "Nah. Nursing homes are terrible. We'll get you a nice condo and a private nurse."
Phoenix (4:09:40 AM): I laughed harder, rolling over onto my stomach and burying my face in my hands. I hadn't laughed like this in what seemed like forever. "Sounds good. Maybe with a nice ocean view."
Aidan (4:10:06 AM): "exactly. Then we get you a ramp down to the beach and a leash so you don't escape down it on your own."
Phoenix (4:12:02 AM): I smirked over at him. "Can it be bright orange and sparkly?"
Aidan (4:12:18 AM): "The leash? Sure. And the collar can be rainbows."
Phoenix (4:15:22 AM): I laughed and buried my face in my hands again.
Aidan (4:15:57 AM): "Maybe even an invisble security system that shocks you when you go out of limites."
Phoenix (4:27:01 AM): My body shook with laughter now. "Oh my god...you're evil."
Aidan (4:27:33 AM): "I am not. I'm just good with old people." I laughed, biting back a fit of giglges.
Phoenix (1:35:53 PM): "Promise not to let me fall and break a hip?'
Aidan (1:37:30 PM): "Nah. Besides. Usually the hip gets broken and then you fall." I joked.
Phoenix (1:41:06 PM): I snorted into my hands, tears of mirth in my eyes.
Aidan (1:44:00 PM): "Don't explode on me."
Phoenix (1:45:09 PM): "Nah. I'm not into spontaneous combustion like my namesake." I chuckled.
Aidan (1:47:17 PM): I laughed at thatm "I didn't even think about that..."
Phoenix (2:11:48 PM): I smirked over at him and wriggled my brows. "Oh yes, fiery bird I am..."
Aidan (2:12:43 PM): 'So how did your parents know you'd match your name?' I smirked and lookeda t him.
Phoenix (2:25:30 PM): I laughed a bit and shrugged. "My mum said it was the hair."
Aidan (2:28:35 PM): "She did a good job then.;'
Phoenix (4:01:01 PM): I nodded with a smile. "Yeah, she sure did."
Aidan (4:04:07 PM): "So whats your middle name? I bet its something all mythological." I smiled at him.
Phoenix (4:06:38 PM): I smirked a bit. "Actually, it's Lestat."
Aidan (4:07:40 PM): "Ah... yeah, you know..." I tilted my head. "I see it. You're definently vamp like."
Phoenix (4:14:45 PM): I arched a brow. "You think so, huh? Well, remember that before you invite me into your house." I winked.
Aidan (4:17:47 PM): i laughed at his words, shaking my head and licking my lip.
Phoenix (4:22:58 PM): I wiped the tears from the corners of my eyes and grinned over at him. This was the first time I'd laughed like this in years.
Aidan (4:25:20 PM): My cell phone rang again and I answered it, "Hey... yeah... no I said I might be out for awhile... Uh huh... Yeah, well it wouldn't matter if I was home or not, I have to watch Adri..." I rolled my eyes, "Look, alright. I'm sorry I'm part of a family. Whatever you say, Mark.." I flipped the phone shut, and annoyed look on my features.
Phoenix (4:29:32 PM): I arched a brow and bit my lip, deciding not to say anything. It wasn't my place anyway.

Aidan (9:17:17 PM): Making a sound of annoyance, I shoved my phone back into my pocket irratibly.
Phoenix (9:19:12 PM): Glancing over at him, I bit my lip. "You all right?"
Aidan (9:21:20 PM): "Yeah... I'm fine... kid doesn't understand the concept of family..."
Phoenix (9:21:59 PM): I shrugged a bit. "Some people are just like that, I guess."
Aidan (9:23:38 PM): "I know, it's just... Family's all I've got really close to me and it's important to me, you know?"
Phoenix (9:24:56 PM): I looked at him and nodded. "I know exactly how you feel."
Aidan (9:25:20 PM): [must remember the accident i'm saying that did the reincatnation thing muhahaha]
Aidan (9:25:47 PM): [but maybe that'll be when theyre together or when theyre first making out or something. cuz i decided its his chest thats got a scar]
Aidan (9:27:25 PM): I smiled at him, turning my head once more so my back faced him again.
Phoenix (9:46:11 PM): Suddenly there was a weight on my back, and I realized Lilly had jumped on me.
Aidan (9:46:48 PM): Smiling to myself, I felt Adri sit on my knee and giggle.
Phoenix (9:54:53 PM): "Guess this is their way of telling us they're bored now." I laughed.
Aidan (9:55:05 PM): "I think that's definently it..."
Phoenix (10:04:50 PM): "So you two want to eat then?"
Aidan (10:05:29 PM): I laughed when they both nodded their heads enthusiastically and Adri shouted out that they had Barbie toys in the happy meals.
Phoenix (10:07:09 PM): I shook my head a bit with a grin and moves to sit up, scooping Lilly into my arms as I got to my feet. "Let's go then, eh?"
Aidan (10:07:59 PM): She wrapped her arms around my neck as I stood, and I carried her to the car as she whispered things in my ear, "Do you wike him, Aidan?" I could feel my cheeks burn.
Phoenix (10:08:58 PM): Lilly rested her head on my shoulder and looked up at me with her big amber eyes. "Can Adri spend the night?"
Aidan (10:09:53 PM): "Now where did you get that idea, love?" She giggled and whispered more, "I'm psychic..." She slaughtered the word horrible, but I got the gist of it.
Phoenix (10:16:13 PM): "Well, I don't know, sweetie. I think she might have to go home, ya know?" Lilly's eyes saddened a bit and I bit my lip.
Aidan (10:16:38 PM): We got to the car and I opened the back door, setting her down.
Phoenix (10:20:38 PM): Lilly squiggled out of my arms and got into her seat, playing with her dress. I sighed and got in the driver's seat again.
Aidan (10:22:12 PM): I shut the door and got in once more.
Phoenix (10:23:59 PM): "Okay. We are off to McDonald's." I headed out of the lot, putting the radio on once more and glancing at Lilly in the rearview.
Aidan (10:27:39 PM): I felt tired suddenly, sleepy and out of it as we drove.
Phoenix (10:31:47 PM): I pulled up to McDonald's and went through the drivethru, ordering for everyone and then pulling up to the window to pay. Lilly was still pouting in the backseat and I tried to ignore it.
Aidan (10:32:30 PM): I pulled my wallet out and handed him the money.
Aidan (10:32:45 PM): When we got the food, I set it in my lap and started in on soem fries.
Phoenix (10:41:17 PM): I gave the happy meals back to the girls and watched them for a moment as they compared their toys.
Aidan (10:41:35 PM): I stuck a french fry under his nose.
Phoenix (10:46:37 PM): Smirking, I bit at it and took it into my mouth.
Aidan (10:49:28 PM): I pulled my fingers away, licking the salt off the tips.
Phoenix (10:56:05 PM): I heard the girls whispering to each other in the backseat and giggling.
Aidan (10:58:08 PM): I ignroed them, shaking my head and eating more fries.
Phoenix (11:05:27 PM): Glancing over at him, I wondered what had made his mood go down so much. But I didn't say anything and just kept driving.
Aidan (11:06:28 PM): We drove along and I stared out the widow, reaching down to find I'd eaten all my fries.
Phoenix (11:21:35 PM): I smiled just a bit and handed him mine. I hadn't been that hungry anyway.
Aidan (11:24:51 PM): I looked up and him and down at them, "Thanks..." I knew refusing them would be pointless.
Phoenix (11:30:59 PM): I laughed a bit and made my way back to my neighborhood, sipping on my coke as i drove.
Aidan (11:34:36 PM): As we got closer to his house, I did what I always did around this time of the day. I flipped open a small lunchbox type thing, poking a needle into the top of a small bottle-
Phoenix (11:42:23 PM): So he was a diabetic. Hmm. Explained the sudden change in mood since he hadn't eaten.
Aidan (11:43:40 PM): I lifted my shirt up a little bit and poked the needle in, sighing a little bit as I pushed the small amount of insulin in.
Phoenix (11:48:28 PM): I pulled up into the driveway and stopped the car. "And we have reached our final destination."
Aidan (11:49:58 PM): I tucked everything back into the small bag and put it into my messenger, looking at him with a small, appreciative, smile.
Phoenix (11:53:38 PM): I grinned back at him and got out of the car, going around to get Lilly out.
Aidan (11:56:30 PM): I sat there for a moment, feeling nervous suddenly, and opened the door with a fidgity sort of nature.
Phoenix (11:59:16 PM): After I'd let Lilly out, she ran to the front door. I looked after her for a moment, then glanced at him. "So I guess this is it?"
Aidan (12:00:35 AM): Adri latched onto my side, her small hand going into mine. "I... yeah."
Phoenix (12:01:24 AM): I nodded a bit. "Well, I had a good time. I think the little ladies did too." I grinned down at Adrianna. "Don't be a stranger."
Aidan (12:02:20 AM): She smiled wide up at him, her eyes twinkling. "Fank you, Weenix." [lmao]
Phoenix (12:06:04 AM): I chuckled and patted her hair. "Anytime, lovely."
Aidan (12:08:09 AM): I unlocked the car from where I was. "Go get in, love..." I asked her softly, she turned around and ran off, playing with her toy still.
Phoenix (12:18:40 AM): I smiled after her and watched Lilly fiddle with the lock on the front door. "See you in class then, I guess."
Aidan (12:19:31 AM): I looked at him. I wanted to say something, but I didn't know what. "Maybe we can do this again...sometime."
Phoenix (12:20:45 AM): My smile widened a bit. "I think those two would love that. And I wouldn't mind it either."
Aidan (12:22:45 AM): "I... was thinking, actually... Maybe yu could bring Lilly over one night... and me and you could... go out?"
Phoenix (12:24:07 AM): I nodded a bit. "That sounds good. You know how to reach me."
Aidan (12:25:32 AM): I felt my cheeks burn. He didn't seem surprised at all. I nodded and gave Lilly a smile.
Phoenix (12:27:41 AM): Lilly waved a bit, then continued playing with the lock. "Well. I'll see you later, Aidan." I grinned at him and headed up to the door to help Lilly open it.
Aidan (12:28:15 AM): "Have a gday, Phoenix..." My voice was quiet as I turned around, Adri fiddling with my radio as I got in and started my car.
Phoenix (12:30:51 AM): I smiled. I had definitely had a good day. Laughing, joking. It had been fun. I headed into the house with Lilly and she raced to her room.
Aidan (12:31:29 AM): The whole ride home Adri was singnig off key and mumbling through the words of a Good Charlotte CD, I was lost in thought and very remorseful.
Phoenix (1:08:43 PM): Sitting down on the couch, I took up the photo album I'd got out earlier and flipped through it. He wasn't Caiden. I knew that. But he made me feel something...something I hadn't felt in a while. This fluttering in my stomach like a mess of bees. It confused me just a s much as it intrigued me.
Aidan (1:14:52 PM): I went home that night, Adri running off to my mum and blabbing about everything in her ear. The first words out of her mouth were, "Well, we'll have to invite her over, won't we?" and I sighed as I made my way down the stairs and into the dim lighting of my room. I shut the door behind me and kicked my shoes off at the bottom. Today seemed so long...
Phoenix (1:28:50 PM): I looked in on Lilly to notice she had fallen asleep on her bed. I went over and placed a blanket on top of her and then went to my room, lying down fully clothed. I was more tired than I thought and found myself drifting off, Aidan behind my eyes.
Aidan (1:30:47 PM): I stripped down into my boxers and climbed up onto the bed, fingering over the scar on my chest absentmindedly. Closing my eyes, I turned on my side and pulled the blanket more into my arms.

Three days later, my Mum had smuggled Phoenix's phone number out of me by stealing my cell phone. She pressed send and stood there in the kitchen, waiting for an answer.
Phoenix (1:36:18 PM): Lilly came running into my studio with the phone and I laughed at her as I plucked it from her hand. "Hello?
Aidan (1:39:01 PM): "Hello... is this Phoenix James?"
Aidan (1:40:22 PM): "Mum, give me the phone!" I pouted at her.
Phoenix (1:40:51 PM): I quirked a brow, trying not to laugh. "Yes, this is him. And I'm guessing, from the sound of Aidan in the background, this is his mum?"
Aidan (1:41:31 PM): She laughed a little and smiled at me, waving me off, "Yes, this is Amy... Adri cannot stop talking about you and Lilly.."
Phoenix (1:42:08 PM): I chuckled. "Well, glad we made such a good impression." I grinned down at Lilly who gave me a huge smile.
Aidan (1:42:59 PM): "Muumm!" I half whined and she sighed, "Alright alright... Well, I'll let Aidan do the talking for me. We'll have to meet sometime, Phoenix..."
Phoenix (1:43:27 PM): I bit my lip to keep in the laughter. "Sounds like a plan, Amy."
Aidan (1:44:10 PM): She handed the phone to me and stuck out her tounge. She was such a little kid. "Make sureyou ask him-" "I know mum!" I waved her away as I brought the phone up. "Hey, Phoenix."
Phoenix (1:46:54 PM): I laughed lightly. "Hey there, Aidan." At the sound of his name, Lilly's eyes lit up and she mouthed "Adri." I smirked and pointed for her to go do her reading. She pouted a bit but listened.
Aidan (1:48:44 PM): "Anyways, mum was wondering if Lilly would like to come spend the night tonight...."
Phoenix (1:51:58 PM): I glanced over at Lilly. "I think if I mention that she'll bounce off the walls." I chuckled.
Aidan (1:52:33 PM): "Well, we can get extra padding over here..." I joked softly.
Phoenix (1:53:41 PM): I grinned a bit. "Probably will need it. Hey, Lills, what would you say to staying over at Adri's tonight?" I burst out laughing as she knocked over her little table and came barreling at me. "Weally, Daddy?!" "I think that's a yes, Aidan."
Aidan (1:54:47 PM): "Sounds like a plan to me. So I... uh... I can pick you guys up, bring her here, and maybe me and you could... go to dinner... or osmething?"
Phoenix (1:56:50 PM): Lilly was tugging at my leg and I just beamed down at her. "Sounds good. I'll get the little sheila ready and strap her down on the couch so she doesn't bounce away."
Aidan (2:02:14 PM): I laughed at that, "Alright... so how does an hour sound?"
Phoenix (2:04:36 PM): "Hour sounds fine. I'll go wash up. Paint's all over the place." I chuckled, reaching down and hoisting Lilly up into my arms as I headed out of the room.
Aidan (2:07:00 PM): "Yeah, me too... oils all over my right hand... I'll see you in an hour then."
Phoenix (2:10:40 PM): "Bye." I hung up and replaced the phone in its holder, before taking Lilly to her room. I packed a little bag and set it aside as she went to get herself an outfit. "Daddy's gonna take a shower, okay love?" She nodded and I went into the bathroom, slipping into the shower and washing away the paint flecks and charcoal. After I was done, I went to my room and got on a pair of dickies and a dress shirt, which I left a bit unbuttoned and rolled up the sleeves. Lilly was already in the livingroom with her bag and I grinned at her as I sat down and watched cartoons with her.
Aidan (2:13:33 PM): My mum got Adri ready while I hopped into the shower. I decided to grab the eyliner this time and a pair of dark blue jeans with a blue tshirt. It wasn't long before Adri dragged me out to the car and we drove over to Phoenix's.
Phoenix (2:14:37 PM): Lilly kept bouncing on the seat beside me, and without looking at her, I reached over and placed a hand on the top of her head to keep her in place, a smirk on my face.
Aidan (2:15:15 PM): I let her get out o f the car, racing up to the door and knocking excitedly.
Phoenix (2:19:42 PM): "I think that's them, huh?" She giggled and ran to the door to open it before I'd gotten off the couch. I grabbed her bag and headed after her, finding the two girls hugging.
Aidan (2:20:46 PM): I smiled when Adri grabbed Lilly by the arm and dragged her to the car. The two of them slid into the backseat from one side-
Phoenix (2:22:05 PM): Locking the front door behind me and messing with my hair that kept falling into my eye, I headed down to the car and got into the passenger seat. I couldn't help noticing how he looked. With eyeliner this time...Damn...
Aidan (2:23:11 PM): My eyes caught his and I smiled just a little bit.
Phoenix (2:23:54 PM): I couldn't help smiling back. His smile was infectious.
Aidan (2:26:57 PM): I waited for him to get into the car, playing goldfinger as I backed out of the driveway.
Phoenix (2:27:35 PM): Lilly kept pressing her foot into the back of my seat and I smirked back at her, giving her a mock glare. She burst into giggles.
Aidan (2:30:12 PM): Glancing over at him just a little bit, I smirked.
Phoenix (2:30:39 PM): "I gotta strap you down, huh?" I winked at her and she grinned.
Aidan (2:33:35 PM): I laughed a little at that and drove towards our house, turning onto a streetdown the coastline.
Phoenix (2:34:57 PM): "Daddy? Are you staying toooo?" She leaned forward between the seat and stared up at me. I laughed a bit. "Nah, baby. It's a girls only party."
Aidan (2:35:29 PM): Biting my cheek at this, I looked out at the ocean and smiled. Tonight would be good.
Phoenix (2:37:22 PM): She looked a little disappointed, then she seemed to get the idea. "So I get to stay all by myself?" I nodded and she leaned back again, giggling once more with Adri.
Aidan (2:38:17 PM): "I think my Mum's baking cookies."
Aidan (2:39:14 PM): I said to him, quietly, and smiled mischiveviously/.
Phoenix (2:42:23 PM): I grinned a little. "Oh man. Lilly and sugar...."
Aidan (2:43:14 PM): "She can handle it..." My mum was about as crazy as a 5 year old, so it fit.
Phoenix (2:44:01 PM): "Oh, I'm sure she can. She did raise you," I joked.
Aidan (2:44:56 PM): "Oh, very clever Phoenix..." I laughed a bit and turned down the street to my house.
Phoenix (2:46:03 PM): "I try." I grinned wide and then sat back in the seat, looking around a bit.
Aidan (2:50:27 PM): I pulled up into the driveway of our house, three more cars parked in the big driveway. I killed end engine and opened the door.
Phoenix (2:53:45 PM): Getting out, I slung Lilly's bag over my shoulder, then got her out of the backseat and hoisted her up onto my hip.
Aidan (2:57:35 PM): Adri walked next to them, a huge smile on her face, and I opened the front door, gesturing them inside.
Phoenix (3:00:40 PM): I stepped in, admiring our surroundings, and almost instantly Lilly was trying to squiggle out of my arms. "All right, Wiggle Worm. Hold on a minute." I chuckled as I set her down.
Aidan (3:01:32 PM): I watched Adri drag Lilly off once more, going on and on about her toys. I had to laugh, my mum stepping into the room, "Well don't you two look handsome." I felt my cheeks burn.
Phoenix (3:02:55 PM): "Well, I was a Calvin Klein model." I joked, smirking a bit.
Aidan (3:04:48 PM): I looked at him oddly and shook my head, "We're going out to dinner, mum." I gave her the eye, "Adri's already dragged Lilly off..."
Aidan (3:07:31 PM): She smiled and nodded, "You two havefun... and it was nice meeting you, Phoenix."
Phoenix (3:21:35 PM): "Nice meeting you too, Amy." I smiled at her and kissed her hand before making my way to the door again.
Aidan (3:22:38 PM): She giggled. My mom. Giggled. And then she winked at me. Sometimes I hatedhaving such outgoing parents. I opened the door for him and we stepped out.
Phoenix (3:25:02 PM): Ruffling my hair, I glanced over at him. "I feel overdressed."I laughed.
Aidan (3:25:18 PM): "Whys that?"
Phoenix (3:28:38 PM): I shrugged. "Cuz I'm in a dress shirt and khakis. I don't know why I wear this shite all the time. I have tshirts. I do."
Aidan (3:29:35 PM): I laughed at that, "Well, I like it..."
Phoenix (3:31:41 PM): I smiled a bit. "Then I guess it's okay."
Aidan (3:34:00 PM): "So...what would you like to eat?" I opened my door, looking at him across the top of the car.
Phoenix (3:34:46 PM): I had half the mind to joke and say "you" but I didn't know if I could joke like that yet, so I simply said, "Whatever's fine with me. I'm easy."
Aidan (3:35:53 PM): I had to snort back a small laugh, getting into the car. "Mexican work for you?
Phoenix (3:36:43 PM): I grinned as I slid into the passenger seat. "Definitely works for me."
Aidan (3:38:52 PM): I started the car up again and it purred as I backed out of the driveway and towards a restaraunt I knew.
Phoenix (3:40:06 PM): I tapped my fingers on the dashboard along to a song on the radio as I gazed out the window.
Aidan (3:44:27 PM): Singing softly to myself, I tried not to feell uncomfortable. "Color my world, draw on my heart.Take a picture of what you think love looks like in your imagination. Write on my soul, everything you know. Use every word you've ever heard..."
Phoenix (3:46:46 PM): I stiffened in my seat. Now this was just too much. Just too damn much. How could he fucking know that song? How?
Aidan (3:47:20 PM): "I've had enough of not believing, living life without a meaning... I want something real and I feel it when I'm next to you..." I bit on my lip at the last few words.

Phoenix (3:48:03 PM): I swallowed over the lump in my throat, afraid to speak. This was fucking insane.
Aidan (3:48:54 PM): "Lets put out some love and devotion, window to my hearts emotion. Til the very end, its the place Im gonna keep you in...." I trailed off of the song, looking out the window as I drove with a hand on the wheel.
Phoenix (3:50:49 PM): I clenched my jaw a bit, angry and hurt all of a sudden and not knowing why. "So...where'd that come from, huh?
Aidan (3:51:36 PM): "I... oh... that... It gets stuck in my head alot. I've been trying to get a beat to go with it... I wrote it..."
Phoenix (3:52:07 PM): I quirked a brow. "You...wrote it?"
Aidan (3:52:32 PM): I glanced over at him, "Yeah... I write..."
Phoenix (3:53:55 PM): "Funny...Caiden sang that exact same song to me over two years ago, and he told me the same thing."
Aidan (3:54:33 PM): An icy cold sweat went through me and I turned my eyes back onto the road.
Phoenix (3:55:10 PM): "So it seems one of you must be lying, huh?
Aidan (3:55:55 PM): I clenched my jaw a little, suddenly pissed. "So what, you think I stole something your dead boyfriend wrote?" It was harsh and I hadn't meant for it to be, but the words flew out way to easily.
Phoenix (3:58:10 PM): My eyes narrowed into slits and I suddenly yanked off my seatbelt. "You're a fucking asshole!" I waited as the car slowed for a stoplight and yanked open the door. I was going back to get Lilly and I was staying away from him. "Fuck you! He wasn't even my boyfriend! He got KILLED, you prick!" I was out of the car and storming back in the opposite direction of where we'd been going.
Aidan (4:00:55 PM): I pulled the car over and got out, leaving it running. "Phoenix Lestat James!"
Phoenix (4:01:48 PM): I turned around, eyes blazing as I stared at him. "No. Don't you fucking dare talk to me. You've said more than enough. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to get my daughter. Have a wonderfully miserable fucking day!"
Aidan (4:06:03 PM): I felt it again, that familiar sense of not being myself... but it didn't feel odd, or out of place. "Alright, fine. Walk away from me like you always have!"
Aidan (4:06:17 PM): I turned around, biting my cheek in anger and to keep from saying anything else .
Phoenix (4:08:48 PM): I raised a brow. "What in the bloody hell are you talking about?! When have I ever walked away from you? I barely know you!"
Aidan (4:09:43 PM): Turning around again, my eyes were dark, "WHY DO WE HAVE TO FIGHT LIKE THIS, NIX?"
Phoenix (4:13:28 PM): "I don't fucking know! Because you turned into a completely different person in that car! Just like you've been doing since I met you!"
Aidan (4:15:21 PM): "I don't get what you're trying to say!" My eyes narrowed, digging my hands in my pockets.
Phoenix (4:30:00 PM): I threw up my hands. "You're you...but you're so much like him. Little things you do."
Aidan (4:30:30 PM): "I don't know what you want me to do! I'm just doing what I always do!"
Phoenix (4:31:12 PM): I shook my head a bit. "You don't get it...you just don't get it..."
Aidan (4:33:24 PM): I made a little growling sound, "I don't get what you're playing at... You could be some nutter that won't let go of his past and you're making things up!"
Phoenix (4:41:37 PM): I gazed at him sadly. "You know...I wish I was. Then I'd know for sure I'm insane and this shite isn't happening. But you want proof. All right then...I have it."
Aidan (4:43:10 PM): "What do you mean/"
Phoenix (4:46:20 PM): "Take me back to my house and I'll show you."
Aidan (4:46:43 PM): I didn't say anything else, walking towards my ca.r
Phoenix (4:47:59 PM): Taking a breath, I went back to the car, holding my arms around myself and getting in again.
Aidan (4:48:25 PM): I don't know what you want to prove..." My voice was quiet, sighing.
Phoenix (4:51:01 PM): I bit on my lip. "You'll see."I muttered, staring out the window.
Aidan (4:51:59 PM): We drove in silence and still hadn't spoke to each other as I pulled into his driveway. My hands were sweaty from gripping the steering wheel so tightly.
Phoenix (4:54:03 PM): When we got there, I got out and headed straight into the house. I knew where the videos were and I grabbed one labeled "The beach" and popped it in. Sitting on the edge of the couch, I waited for him before pressing play.
Aidan (4:54:37 PM): I toed my sandles off at the door and sat as far from him on the couch as i could, legs pulled up.
Phoenix (4:56:35 PM): It had been a long time since I'd watched these. But soon Reese came into view, doing a headstand on the beach and Caiden came running in to tackle him.
Aidan (4:59:25 PM): I watched the people on the screen, my chin on my knees, and didn't say a word.
Phoenix (5:00:16 PM): There was a pain in my chest as I watched myself get pushed to the sand, whereupon Caiden sat on my chest. He started singing at the top of his lungs and giggling like mad.
Aidan (5:01:28 PM): I watched the kid on the screen and smiled just slighty.
Aidan (5:05:34 PM): I wasn't sure what he wanted out of this. After a few more moments, I watched the boys in the water just near the edge of the beach, "Don't do that Reese, you'll break something..." and soon after I watched as the smaller boy fell off his surfboard and hit his arm.
Aidan (5:05:45 PM): The words I'd said coming from Caiden.
Aidan (5:06:23 PM): [so basically he says it, then cai says it, and reese falls]
Phoenix (5:10:22 PM): I looked over at him. "Little things like that..."
Aidan (5:10:54 PM): "I-.I didn't... it just came out..."
Phoenix (5:16:42 PM): I raised a brow. "Uh huh. Funny isn't it. And you don't even know Reese."
Aidan (5:19:24 PM): "No... I don't."
Phoenix (5:21:56 PM): "So tell me...how'd you come about with that one?"
Aidan (5:24:10 PM): "I didn't. It just came out." I bit on my lip, feeling like i was in the spoitlight.
Phoenix (5:25:50 PM): I raised my brows. "Just like everything else, Aidan"
Aidan (5:29:00 PM): I put my hands out in front of me. "I don't know what you want!"
Phoenix (5:30:21 PM): "I don't want anything, dammit. I wanted to prove to you that it's not you!"
Aidan (5:37:19 PM): "That whats not me?!"
Phoenix (5:38:15 PM): "These things you keep saying. Doing."
Aidan (5:42:01 PM): I looked at him increduously.
Aidan (5:51:05 PM): My mouth dropped and shut again, my legs sliding from under me. I wanted to flee.
Phoenix (5:58:47 PM): "I can't explain it. I won't even try...but you see it, don't you?"
Aidan (6:01:11 PM): I didn't know what to say as I stood up, walking down the far hallway.
Aidan (6:03:10 PM): I pushed up the last door on the left and went inside.
Phoenix (6:05:11 PM): I raised a brow and went after him. "That was his room, ya know?"
Aidan (6:06:33 PM): Ignoring his words, I bent down in the left hand corner of the room, fingers going under the edgebof the floodboard-
Phoenix (6:12:44 PM): I wrapped my arms around myself, watching him.
Aidan (6:13:34 PM): I sat down and put my hand inside, picking up a tattered journal and throwing it at his feet.
Aidan (6:14:36 PM): A feeling of nostalgic and hurt surged through me...like I'd always felt this way...
Phoenix (6:17:49 PM): I gazed down at the journal, then at him. Then I knelt and picked it up.
Aidan (6:21:31 PM): I sat there, staring at the wall and chewing on my lip. As I hugged my arms around my middle, I could feel tears welling up in my eyes.
Phoenix (6:22:21 PM): I skimmed through it, Caiden's writing jumping out at me. The things he wrote made my eyes fill.
Aidan (6:24:01 PM): Sniffing back a cry, I curled my fingers into fists.
Aidan (6:26:11 PM): I knew what was in the journal without reading it. Thoughts... so many of them... and tears staining the sheets. Nine months worth of words.
Phoenix (6:26:43 PM): I glanced back at him and frowned as tears fell down my cheeks. "Aidan..."
Aidan (6:27:09 PM): "Wot?" my voice came out muffled.
Phoenix (6:29:19 PM): I knelt down in front of him, wiping his cheeks away. "Whatever this is...we'll figure it out, okay?"
Aidan (6:29:44 PM): "There's nothing to figure out... it doesn't make sense..."
Phoenix (6:30:46 PM): "I know it doesn't..."I brushed hair behind his ear.
Aidan (6:31:26 PM): I flinched away from his touch a little bit and looked at him.
Phoenix (6:46:34 PM): I bit my lip. "I'm sorry.."
Aidan (6:49:03 PM): My blue eyes were bright, confused, as I stared at him. "Why do I have his memories/"
Phoenix (6:53:48 PM): I frowned, looking down. "I...I don't know, Aidan..."
Aidan (6:55:40 PM): "I remembered things... before you... the last three years.... I remembered things I wasn't sure... if it was mine..."
Phoenix (6:56:42 PM): I met his eyes slowly and my own were sad. "That's about when he died..."
Aidan (6:59:38 PM): "I remember a women... with a needle...a little boy crying and walking in the rain with me.... " the tears were on my cheeks now.
Aidan (7:01:12 PM): "Just... a lot of things that didn't make sense..."
Phoenix (7:06:09 PM): "That woman...was his mum. The little boy...was Reese."
Aidan (7:06:47 PM): "IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE, STAT! IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!"
Aidan (7:07:26 PM): My voice was strained now, screaming.
Phoenix (7:08:20 PM): My eyebrows raised into my head. He'd just called me 'Stat'. "Aidan...." I pulled him into my arms. He was in pain. He was confused more than I was. And all I wanted to do was comfort him.
Aidan (7:10:25 PM): I wanted to pull away from him, but didn't. My hands went to his chest as I pressed my ear there.
Phoenix (7:12:38 PM): I rested my head on his, tears dripping into his hair and hugged him to me tightly.
Aidan (7:13:30 PM): "I don't know who you are..." I whispered.
Phoenix (7:15:35 PM): "I'm just a guy that's trying to help you, Aidan. To fix whatever it is that's got broken."
Aidan (7:17:11 PM): "There's nothing wrong with me!"
Phoenix (7:17:52 PM): I pulled away from him. "You call having a dead person's memories nothing wrong?"
Aidan (7:19:30 PM): "They weren't a dead person's memories until I met you!" I stood up.
Phoenix (7:22:02 PM)
