Phoenix (12:21:07 AM): (*gasp* I don't wannnnaaaaa! You already killed my levi once, now you're taking caiden away from my phoenix again. *CRIES*) Phoenix was making the dinner, humming to himself with a smile on his face.
eyelinerandlust (12:22:16 AM): [only its natural causes this time :-[] He opened the closet doors quietly and dug into a trunk there, pulling out the familiar, long put away, tattered care bear.
Phoenix (12:24:00 AM): (I don't care, you're evilllllllllllll! *pout*) Slipping food onto plates, Phoenix carried it out to the diningroom table.
eyelinerandlust (12:37:22 AM): Closing his eyes, he felt his stomach clench uneasily and his cheeks grow hotter.
Phoenix (12:40:55 AM): "Hey Caiden, dinner's ready!" He called out, sitting in a chair.
eyelinerandlust (12:41:31 AM): [he walked in the house without saying he was home ;-d he was all parked in the driveway]
Phoenix (12:58:40 AM): (Ohhhh nevermind then. :-P) Phoenix sat down at the table with his plate of food and ate quietly.
eyelinerandlust (1:02:14 AM): He could hear Phoenix eating in the other room, pressing his cheek against the bear more firmly. He just wanted to lay there.
Phoenix (1:23:49 AM): Sighing a little, Phoenix looked at the empty seat across from him.
eyelinerandlust (1:28:40 AM): [well his jacket and shoes are in the front, but he left his bag in the car. i think i didnt show you the part where he actually came in lol so -shrug-] He felt his chest flutter and swore at himself, taking a deep breath. Caiden felt nervous... overpowered by what was happening.

Phoenix (12:37:45 AM): He knew Caiden had to be home, he'd seen his things. So why was he ignoring him?
eyelinerandlust (12:39:30 AM): As he fell asleep, the bear found it's way on the floor and the sheets found themselves tangled around him tightly.
Phoenix (12:47:17 AM): Pushing away his plate, Phoenix went and sat down on the couch. Whatever it was, Caiden had to have a good reason.
eyelinerandlust (12:52:01 AM): He stayed like that until, finally, he got up and walked quietly to the kitchen for a bottle of water.
Phoenix (1:00:09 AM): Phoenix heard his footsteps and pressed his lips together.
eyelinerandlust (1:03:46 AM): Maybe he wouldn't tell him. It could be easier that way... no last minutes of your life worries. Maybe, but that wouldn't be fair. Cracking open the top of the bottle, he stepped carefully into the front room.
Phoenix (1:07:14 AM): Phoenix rose his eyes and gazed at him questioningly, but remaining silent.
eyelinerandlust (1:08:05 AM): He looked at him and almost faultered before softly settling himself into Phoenix's lap.
Phoenix (1:13:29 AM): Phoenix wrapped his arms lightly around him, brow arched as he watched him intently.
eyelinerandlust (1:16:55 AM): Caiden couldn't do it now... but he couldn't think of anything to explain why he'd come in earlier and not said a word. He hoped he wouldn't ask.
Phoenix (1:24:15 AM): Deciding to just leave it, he pulled Caiden closer to him and rested his head on his.
eyelinerandlust (1:45:46 AM): He didn't say anything for a good 5 minutes, curled up against him. "You made Polish sausage."
Phoenix (1:50:56 AM): "Yes, I did,"Phoenix replied quietly.
eyelinerandlust (1:51:45 AM): A very faint smile touched his lips. "I'm hungry..." and quietly, he crawled off of Phoenix's lap and kissed his cheek.
Phoenix (1:57:37 AM): Phoenix nodded and sat back again.
eyelinerandlust (1:59:30 AM): Caiden went to the kitchen to warm the food up, quietly getting out a bun for the sausage and all the condiments.
Phoenix (2:04:18 AM): Phoenix laid down on the couch, sighing a bit to himself.
eyelinerandlust (2:08:33 AM): Putting everything on it aside from anything that resembled saurkraut, he quietly looked out the window at their pool.

Phoenix (6:00:04 PM): Pulling a pillow down, he propped it up behind his head and flicked his tongue over his lipring.
eyelinerandlust (6:00:45 PM): Caiden peeked into the living room where Phoenix remained and bit his lip a little, quietly carrying his one polish sausage along with him on a plate.
Phoenix (6:07:35 PM): He heard him come into the room again and glanced over a bit.
eyelinerandlust (6:08:12 PM): Concentrating more on getting to his spot on the couch, Caiden looked straight ahead before quietly settling down and pulling his legs up.
Phoenix (6:19:41 PM): Phoenix quirked a brow, pursing his lips. He didn't know what the fuck was the matter, but if Caiden didn't want to talk he wouldn't make him.
eyelinerandlust (6:26:43 PM): Cuddling up a little, he bit into the sausage and smiled a bit.
Phoenix (6:27:26 PM): "Good?" Phoenix asked quietly.
eyelinerandlust (6:28:19 PM): "Aw'ays," muffled through the bun and sausage in his mouth.

Phoenix (6:32:10 PM): Phoenix laughed slightly, nudging Caidens' leg.
eyelinerandlust (6:41:03 PM): He laughed and Caiden felt tears prick behind his eyes... just faintly. Refusing the cry over a sausage, Caiden swallowed it down and took another bite.
Phoenix (6:44:15 PM): Phoenix's brows furrowed. "Caiden, what the hell is wrong?"
eyelinerandlust (6:44:54 PM): Caiden stopped chewing for a moment at that question and didn't move, then continued chewing slowly again.
Phoenix (6:52:53 PM): Phoenix clenched his jaw a bit and sighed. "So we don't talk now, is that it?"
eyelinerandlust (6:53:18 PM): "My mowth is fwull."
Phoenix (6:56:28 PM): "It wasn't until you took another bite to avoid my question."
eyelinerandlust (6:58:12 PM): He looked at him. "I did not." [he did not]

Phoenix (7:08:31 PM): "Right." Phoenix nodded and looked away.
eyelinerandlust (7:12:25 PM): He leaned a little away from him, no longer cuddled up, and wasn't hungry anymore.
Phoenix (7:14:48 PM): Phoenix chewed at the inside of his cheek and tried not to jump to conclusions.
eyelinerandlust (7:17:01 PM): Getting up, he stood t here a moment. "We need to talk."
Phoenix (7:21:43 PM): "Yeah...I was thinking that too."
eyelinerandlust (7:25:20 PM): "I didn't want to do it right now..." quietly going to put his plate in the trash.
Phoenix (7:27:17 PM): Phoenix rose both his brows at that and sat up, crossing his arms over his chest.
eyelinerandlust (7:28:51 PM): He didn't want to do it ever. Taking his time, he set his water bottle back into the refrigerator.
Phoenix (7:31:26 PM): Looking over his shoulder then back across the room, Phoenix waited, his stomach churning.
eyelinerandlust (7:34:00 PM): Facing the fridge, he sighed a little and quietly came back in.
Phoenix (7:34:42 PM): Phoenix looked at him a bit and pursed his lips.
eyelinerandlust (7:42:31 PM): "Don't look at me like that..." quietly.
Phoenix (7:43:50 PM): "What? I don't know what's going on and you're freaking me out, Caiden."
eyelinerandlust (8:03:09 PM): Sitting down, he put his hands in his lap.
Phoenix (8:06:13 PM): Phoenix scrutinized him for a moment. This was not helping at all.
eyelinerandlust (8:10:55 PM): Fiddling his fingers a little. "I don't think... I don't think it's working..." A horrible lie. A terrible fucking lie. They'd only talked about kids just last week. [dont make nix be all "theres something else to this! i know it!" lol]
Phoenix (8:13:35 PM): Phoenix's face fell. There it was, his worst possible nightmare staring him in the face. He stared at Caiden in disbelief, a hurt beyond words in his eyes. "W-What do you mean...? How can you say that?"
eyelinerandlust (8:15:36 PM): He squeezed his palms together tightly so his whole hand went white from the pressure. "I don't know... but I can..."
Phoenix (8:17:33 PM): Phoenix's heart clenched in his chest. He felt tears burn behind his eyes. After everything they'd been through. After ALL of the shite he'd done just to get him, Caiden was giving up on him. And as much as it hurt him, it also brought an anger into him. "Fine. If that's what you want." His voice cold, he pressed his lips hard together to keep from crying.
eyelinerandlust (8:19:19 PM): Why did he have to go this way? The most painful route he could choose... and he'd done it. Not saying anything, Caiden looked straight and down.
Phoenix (8:21:18 PM): "I wish you would've gotten this clue before we got married. Would've saved me plenty of heartache."Phoenix stood up and his hands shook a little. "I can't believe you..."his voice was choked even as he swallowed and turned to leave the room.
eyelinerandlust (8:23:11 PM): "Me neither..." very quietly, not even sure if he'd said it.
Phoenix (8:25:46 PM): Phoenix heard but ignored him, walking steadily to his studio and slumping into a seat there, staring down at his wedding ring and tears falling now, steady and fast.
eyelinerandlust (8:27:12 PM): He didn't take his ring off because this wasn't about that... sliding off the couch, he went to the bedroom. Shoving the carebear into a bag from its spot on the floor, he piled in some clothes. He didn't need anything else.
Phoenix (8:29:22 PM): Phoenix slipped down onto the floor, holding his legs in front of him, feeling reduced to the nine year old boy that had lost his parents and was helpless.
eyelinerandlust (8:30:29 PM): His cellphone was left on the table by the door... pictures... notebooks of lyrics... his guitar was the only thing he picked up, though he wasn't sure if it would help or only make it worse.
Phoenix (8:41:41 PM): He sat there, cuddled up with his legs to his knees and let the tears cascade down his cheeks.
eyelinerandlust (8:42:14 PM): Caiden walked past the studio with an ache in his stomach... almost naesous.
Phoenix (8:42:50 PM): He felt lost. Empty. The love of his life didn't want him anymore, where in the fuck did that leave him?"
eyelinerandlust (8:46:35 PM): Going out to his car, he got in and drove off. His heartache would be the only thing he felt...
Phoenix (8:48:26 PM): It seemed like hours passed before he made himself get up. Before he ventured back out into the house and went into a blind rage, breaking things and smashing pictures into the wall.
eyelinerandlust (8:50:35 PM): He went to a hotel for the first night... but only took 4 days to move himself and his one bag into a tiny apartment.
Phoenix (8:52:16 PM): (*cries*) Over the next few days, Phoenix worked at the shop, listless and barely talking to anyone.
eyelinerandlust (8:54:57 PM): Caiden didn't go to his job... he o nly ate once and only a little. He barely left the place. He'd had just enough in his account to pay for the first two months... and didn't care about the last month. Then, one day, a little girl pulled her mother out of their apartment to see the 'boy' laying on the floor.

Phoenix (9:00:27 PM): (This is gonna make me cry like crazy now. =/) Phoenix was in the middle of a shift at the shop, going through piles of papers and looking unlike himself.
eyelinerandlust (9:05:17 PM): He was alright... as alright as he could be... two hours later when he told the nurse the number of a contact for him.
Phoenix (9:08:54 PM): Phoenix sat at the desk and rifled through the papers when the phone rang and he absently answered it, then nearly dropped in when the person identified themself and he leaped out of his seat, saying he'd be there as soon as possible before hanging up and hurrying out of the shop.
eyelinerandlust (9:12:24 PM): Caiden waited... and waited... staring at the wall and out the doo.

Phoenix (9:14:09 PM): Phoenix arrived there, talking with the nurse at the front desk, then being led to the room. He didn't go inside, he simply stood in the doorway.
eyelinerandlust (9:14:32 PM): When Caiden looked back at the door again, he saw him and smiled a little.
Phoenix (9:17:53 PM): Phoenix didn't smile. He just looked at him blankly.

eyelinerandlust (12:17:31 AM): Caiden worked himself into a sitting position, still feeling a little off.
Phoenix (12:21:56 AM): Leaning against the doorframe, Phoenix pursed his lips. "It's funny how we wouldn't work, and you leave, but you end up in the hospital and you make them call me."
eyelinerandlust (12:24:15 AM): He didn't get it... and Caiden didn't expect him to. Thinking for a moment, he could only say one thing. "This isn't the kind of hospital visit I go home and get all better from..."
Phoenix (12:25:39 AM): Phoenix felt his heart clench again, just as it had months ago. "So not only did you leave me...you're dying on me too..."Phoenix's voice broke, no matter how badly he'd tried to sound mad.
eyelinerandlust (12:28:40 AM): Putting his legs over the side, he let his head hang a little. "I never really left... I threw the papers away that you sent..."
Phoenix (12:32:09 AM): Phoenix looked up at the ceiling, determined not to let the tears fall. "Right, what the fuck does it matter anymore, hmm? I'm gonna lose you no matter what excuse you come up with."
eyelinerandlust (12:33:31 AM): His feet touched the floor and he tugged the IV.
Phoenix (12:41:43 AM): Phoenix felt a stray tear fall down his cheek despite his best efforts and he looked down again. "What are you doing?"
eyelinerandlust (12:44:11 AM): He stood in front of him, pole behind him. "Coming to you, since you won't come to me."
Phoenix (12:45:31 AM): Phoenix stared down at him, face solemn. "You had that chance months ago when you decided you couldn't tell me the truth and instead told me the one thing you knew would rip me apart."
eyelinerandlust (12:47:15 AM): "I found out about it that day... and you pressured me into it... I couldn't tell you right away... I'm sorry..." quietly.
Phoenix (12:48:21 AM): Phoenix pressed his lips together and shook his head. "Yeah, I'm sorry too."
eyelinerandlust (12:50:30 AM): "I panicked, okay?" a soft whisper.
Phoenix (12:51:16 AM): "We tell each other everything, Caiden! EVERYTHING! If I'm going to lose you I want to know how much time I have! You took two months from me! TWO MONTHS!"
eyelinerandlust (12:56:16 AM): Caiden didn't look up, tears dripping down the side of his nose. Phoenix didn't know what was wrong with him... but he knew... and it'd made everything worse to him. There was no excuse, he knew that.
eyelinerandlust (12:57:32 AM): [and yeah, they didnt tell him on the phone]
Phoenix (12:57:46 AM): (No duh. They can't do that :-P) Looking away, Phoenix wiped angrily at the tears that fell from his eyes. "All I've ever wanted is you. I didn't care about anything else, about me, as long as I had you."
eyelinerandlust (12:59:16 AM): [if he said to, maybe lol] Phoenix's hand went past his vision and he reached up, lightly grabbing it and pulling it to his chest.
Phoenix (1:00:29 AM): Phoenix's eyes flew down to Caiden's face as his body stiffened. "Don't...don't you do that..."He tried yanking his hand away.
eyelinerandlust (1:03:05 AM): But Caiden held it there as his lower lip trembled, letting out a soft cry.
Phoenix (1:04:14 AM): Phoenix felt another rush of tears and this time he didn't stop them as he pulled Caiden into his arm, holding him tightly to him.
eyelinerandlust (1:08:16 AM): He was always a lot smaller and this time was no different, sinking into Phoenix a little.
Phoenix (1:10:23 AM): Phoenix rested his cheek against Caiden's hair, trying to stifle sobs but unable to.
eyelinerandlust (1:14:11 AM): Caiden brought his hand there and held it again, burying his face into his chest.
Phoenix (1:20:14 AM): Phoenix clung to him, not wanting to let go.
eyelinerandlust (1:22:35 AM): "It skips..." his words coming out drowned in tears and short breath.
Phoenix (1:25:48 AM): Phoenix looked down, frowning. "What does?"
eyelinerandlust (1:33:33 AM): Caiden pulled away just a little, "My heart."
Phoenix (1:34:57 AM): "So that's what...?"Phoenix nodded a little, trailing off.
eyelinerandlust (1:45:33 AM): Swallowing hard, finding it difficult, Caiden nodded.
Phoenix (1:48:13 AM): Phoenix felt his own heart slide into the pit of the stomach. A weak heart. Of all things.
eyelinerandlust (1:50:57 AM): "They put me on a list... but the blood type...
eyelinerandlust (1:51:19 AM): " he couldn't talk straight, pressing his palm into his eye to wipe tears away.
Phoenix (1:55:08 AM): Phoenix knew without him saying. The chances were slim to none. He was going to lose the only thing he lived for.
eyelinerandlust (1:55:57 AM): He fidgeted a little. "I just want to go home."
Phoenix (1:58:23 AM): "You can't...unless they say you can."
eyelinerandlust (1:59:37 AM): "I took too many stairs too fast... I'm not dead yet..." uietly.
Phoenix (2:02:53 AM): Phoenix cringed at his words but nodded slightly.
eyelinerandlust (2:05:49 AM): Caiden stepped back into the room and sat on the bed, pressing the call button.
Phoenix (2:09:52 AM): Phoenix watched him, licking over his lips lightly.
eyelinerandlust (2:11:42 AM): The nurse didn't take that long and she fixed his IV, the bag empty anyhow.

Phoenix: He turned his gaze away, his lips pressed in a thin line as he glanced down at his shaking hand.
eyelinerandlust: Caiden toyed with his ring a moment before getting dressed.
Phoenix: Phoenix wasn't exactly sure what Caiden wanted from him now, or what he was supposed to do. He still felt relatively helpless.
eyelinerandlust: When he finished, he quietly c ame over to him,
Phoenix: Looking down at him, Phoenix lightly touched his hand.
eyelinerandlust: "We can go..." quietly
Phoenix: Nodding a bit, Phoenix led him silently out of the room.
eyelinerandlust: They went down the elevator to the car and Caiden got in, quietly.
Phoenix: Slipping into the driver's seat, Phoenix started off down the street. "Where do you want me to take you?"
eyelinerandlust: "My guitar's still at my apartment..." but, other than that... he wanted to go HOME.
Phoenix: "Well you can go get it then." Phoenix nodded with a little hint of a smile before it faded.
eyelinerandlust: "Okay..." quietly, sighing because he didn't have his keys on him and his apartment had been left unlocked.
Phoenix: "You're going to have to tell me where it is."
eyelinerandlust: "The apartments down the street from the house..." quietly.
Phoenix: "Oh...okay."Phoenix drove in that direction before finally pulling up there.
eyelinerandlust: Caiden didn't move, looking at the flights of stairs. It was the kind of apartments that you opened from the outside... and to get there, there was two flights of stairs.
Phoenix: "So you allright to go up by yourself, or no?"
eyelinerandlust: "No..." quietly.
Phoenix: "All right, let's go then."
eyelinerandlust: Getting out of the car, he slowly stepped to the stairs. He FELT fine.
Phoenix: Phoenix came up beside him, arm slipping around his waist.
eyelinerandlust: Caiden moved away from him an up the stairs. It was an odd thiing to feel like he could run up the stairs and be fine when, really, he couldn't.
Phoenix: Phoenix watched him a bit sadly and made his way with him up the stairs.
eyelinerandlust: Sighing a little, Caiden got up the second flight and went to his flat at the end, opening the door.
Phoenix: Phoenix waited there, not going inside and stared around the hall a bit.
eyelinerandlust: There was nothing IN the flat but his guitar case and bag. He grabbed them both and quietly put the straps around him.
Phoenix: When Phoenix saw him coming back out, he stepped aside out of the way.
eyelinerandlust: With the guitar on his back and his bag in his hand, ehe shut the door and locked it.
Phoenix: Phoenix made his way to the stairs and lightly touched Caiden's back, helping him down.
eyelinerandlust: He was getting frustrated at the small gestures. He could walk perfectly fine.
Phoenix: As he walked, Phoenix let his hand slip down and away, sliding it into his pocket and making his way down the rest of the stairs to the front door.
eyelinerandlust: He put his guitar and bag into the back and got in.
Phoenix: Phoenix re-started the car once he slid in and headed towards the house.
eyelinerandlust: He slouched down into the seat like a ragdoll and laid hsi head back against the headrest.
Phoenix: Once back at the house, Phoenix parked and went to the back of the car, getting the bag and the guitar and carrying them to the door, stepping in and setting them on the couch.
eyelinerandlust: He got out quietly and followed, standing behind him and holding the door so he could go through first.
Phoenix: Phoenix stopped in the middle of the front room, not quite sure what to do.
eyelinerandlust: Caiden opened his bag after a moment and quietly held out the care bear to him.
Phoenix: Phoenix looked at it for a long moment but didn't take it.
eyelinerandlust: A small sigh and he set it down on the couch, standing in front of him.
Phoenix: Phoenix didn't meet his eyes, didn't move. He no longer felt the same as he had months before.
eyelinerandlust: Reaching his arms up a little, he put them beneath Phoenix's.
Phoenix: Phoenix stared at him a bit solemnly, eyes sad.
eyelinerandlust: He licked his lip and then bit it, trying not to let his eyes we ll up.
Phoenix: At this, Phoenix looked away, feeling like he was intruding.
eyelinerandlust: "Stop doing that."
Phoenix: "Stop doing what?"
eyelinerandlust: "Looking away from me."
Phoenix: "Well I can't quite look at you, so excuse me."
eyelinerandlust: "Thats alright... I can't look at me, either," and he dropped his hands, moving past Phoenix.
Phoenix: Phoenix cringed, sinking onto the end of the couch.
eyelinerandlust: He got to the backdoors and slid one shut with a loud smack.
Phoenix: Grimacing, Phoenix sank down more into the couch, arms crossed over his chest.
eyelinerandlust: Going to the pool, he quietly sat down and pressed his palms to the concreate.
Phoenix: This was so weird. It didn't feel real. Phoenix was clueless.
eyelinerandlust: It was warm out... almost comforting. But not exactly. Maybe he shouldn't of had them call him.
Phoenix: He didn't know who Caiden was anymore. He didn't know who he was. What was he supposed to do? Watch the love of his life deteriorate and not be able to do anything?
eyelinerandlust: Pulling his legs up, Caiden hugged his legs. He didn't even know what to say to Phoenix. He wanted to make him feel better.
Phoenix: Leaning his head against the back of the couch, he closed his eyes a nd ran his hands through his hair.
eyelinerandlust: When he came back in, he opened the fridge and pulled out some leftover food.
Phoenix: Phoenix let out an oomf when Nox came up and jumped onto his lap.
eyelinerandlust: Waiting for it to heat up, he quietly pulled himself up to sit on the counter.
Phoenix: Petting Nox absently, Phoenix's face set in a frown.
eyelinerandlust: He got out the pizza and carried the plate into the living room.
Phoenix (1:55:15 AM): Pushing Nox down a bit so he wouldn't lick his cheek, Phoenix made a grunt.
eyelinerandlust (1:56:01 AM): "Nox... cmere..." holding out a piece of crust, the dog scampered down and came over to the chair.
Phoenix (2:02:55 AM): Phoenix looked up at the ceiling now, t hen let his eyes fall closed.
eyelinerandlust (2:07:15 AM): He pulled Nox up with him and sighed, scratching behind his ear.
Phoenix (2:08:34 AM): Sleep. Something he'd gotten a little of in the past two months, and he wanted to right now more than anything.
eyelinerandlust (2:09:51 AM): "Did you miss me, Nox?" softly, offering a pepperoni.
Phoenix (2:11:22 AM): Phoenix heard Nox bark appreciatively and let out a soft sigh.
eyelinerandlust (2:13:24 AM): "Missed you too..." quietly, setting the empty plate aside.
Phoenix (2:16:05 AM): Phoenix got up. "I'm going to go lie down,"he mumbled, heading down the hall.
eyelinerandlust (2:17:50 AM): "you're going to have to talk to me sometime..." quietly.
Phoenix (2:22:37 AM): "Not right now I don't." Phoenix snapped and made his way to his room.
eyelinerandlust (2:23:53 AM): A little nervous flutter coated in hurt danced at the pit of his stomach, letting Nox down.
Phoenix (2:26:42 AM): Phoenix got to the bedroom, kicked off his pants and slumped into bed.
eyelinerandlust (2:35:48 AM): Folding up his plate, he found the phone and called for a cab so he could pick up his car.
Phoenix (2:38:26 AM): Laying there, he gazed at his ring finger and felt hot tears on his cheeks again.
eyelinerandlust (2:41:07 AM): Shutting the front door quietly, he gave the cabbie directions back to the apartment complex and paid him with the little bit of money he had.
Phoenix (2:44:43 AM): Wiping them away, he curled up to a pillow and closed his eyes.
eyelinerandlust (2:48:28 AM): He brought his car back and, after two months of doing nothing alone in the flat, Caiden didn't know what to do but sit in the livingroom.
Phoenix (2:49:53 AM): But sleep wouldn't come. Apparently he was still being tortured.

Phoenix (3:04:40 AM): Phoenix startled a bit and jumped out of bed. "What the hell...?" He looked from Caiden to the broken glass with a frown.
