Nurse: should be no more than three days once we get these papers processed... chances are we'll have you in by tommorow afternoon.

Nurse: -smiles again and takes them from you- Until then... you might want to think about getting yourself a change of clothes and something comfortable to wear around for the next week or so...-to both of us-

Doctor: I don't know much about his medical history, but I have reason to believe he's dealt with some form of cancer in his childhood.. and from what I can tell... his body is now in the later stages of Leukemia...
Dani (6:59:52 PM): *feels heart plummet into my stomach and tears fill my eyes* l-leukemia? *looks lost and frightened, feeling like a little boy and wanting my mum* can you...can you do anything for him?
Doctor: -sits down next to you now, talking low- Adrion has a chance with a bone marrow transplant... now, I said it was in the later stages... but it's not completely incurable... he has a chance.
Dani (7:02:01 PM): *without thinking, not caring about myself at the moment* could I get tested for that? to see if I could be a donor?
Doctor: -he nods, looking down at his keyboard- We need a blood type match... The soonest we can get him prepped for such a procedure is 2 days from now... until then, he'll have to stay here for testing and so that we can keep an eye on him...
Dani (7:04:44 PM): I want to get tested. as soon as possible. *nods*
Doctor: We can set you up right now... but we won't know of the results until early tommorow morning. If you'd like to visit Adrion until the nurse can test you...

Adrion (1:27:06 AM): -shakes my head a little- I feel better... I want to sit up while I still can...-small smile- last time it took two weeks before I felt good enough

Nurse: We're ready for you in the lab... if you could follow me...
Dani (1:53:36 AM): *glances at you with a small smile* i'll be back soon...*goes to follow the nurse*
Adrion (1:54:40 AM): -nods and moves to sit back in my seat, watching the muted TV absent mindedly
Dani (1:58:40 AM): *goes to the lab and looks around a bit fearfully*
Nurse: Now if you just sit right there... -points to the seat, turning to a counter to get a needle and the tubes ready for testing aswell as the needle-
Dani (2:03:15 AM): *sits down, glancing at the equipment and shuddering a bit*
Nurse: -comes over to the table beside you and sets down the tube, taking your arm and laying it out on the rest and tightening a torniquet around your upper arm. cleans off the spot of your arm after feeling out a vein-
Dani (2:09:44 AM): *bites lip* can I ask you something, nurse?
Nurse: Sure, hun... -looks at you with a smile-
Dani (2:10:49 AM): if I am the same blood type...and I go through with the transplant...do you think...well...do you think it'd make him better? *asks in a small voice*
Nurse: -sighs a bit- Well, it says in the charts by the multiple scars on his back... that he's had this transplant done quite a few times in the past... its hard to diagnose without his medical records... There's no telling how this will affect him.
Dani (2:13:01 AM): *looks down* right...okay...*feels tears spring into my eyes, because I know if this doesn't work..and you don't get better...then i'd be lost without you*
Nurse: -bites her lip- Now... you're going to feel a small prick... relax... -offers a reassuring smile, gently sliding the needle beneath your skin and starting to raw the blood into the tube-
Dani (2:14:43 AM): *chews on lip, looking up at the ceiling instead of down at my arm*
Nurse: -finishes up- All done. -deposits the needle and takes the tube- The results will be in by morning. You'll need to fill out some paper work about your own medical history before you leave... Visiting hours end in...-checks watch- about 20 minutes
Dani (2:17:14 AM): okay...*heads back to your room and enters with a small smile*
Adrion (2:19:47 AM): -turns on my side, hand under my head- she didn’t poke you 50 times, did she? -soft grin-
Dani (2:20:13 AM): nah....only about 25 *jokes, grinning a little*
Adrion (2:20:33 AM): only? why not 26? 26 sounds better. -smiles a little bigger-
Dani (2:21:21 AM): *laughs* well I can always go and ask her to do it again....*eyes sparkle a bit like normal*
Adrion (2:21:49 AM): -gestures you over, sliding back on the bed to make room for you to sit there-
Dani (2:22:22 AM): *comes and sits down, reaching out and stroking the side of your face*
Adrion (2:28:58 AM): -closes eyes and lets out a small sigh- I hate hospital rooms
Dani (2:30:45 AM): I’m sorry you have to be here...maybe i'll get raine to come decorate...*laughs*

Dani (2:36:19 AM): *holds you gently in my arms, blinking back tears* I have to get going...visiting hours are almost over...

Dani (2:55:40 AM): well....ma'am...my boyfriend has trouble sleeping alone...and being in a hospital and all doesn't help that much. I know you probably don't allow this. but is there any possible way I could stay with him? *looks up at the nurse with wide, puppy dog eyes, pouting my lip slightly*
Nurse: -nods a bit- we go patient by patient bases... but the minute you cause trouble, you're out....-smiles-
Dani (2:57:37 AM): no..i don't cause trouble at all *grins at her*
Nurse: I’m sure you won't...

-another nurse appears-: Mr. Greene, I have some medication the doctors prescribed for you... -shes comes over with a glass of water and a small thing with pills-
Adrion (2:59:02 AM): What are these for? -quietly, pulling back from you and taking them from her-
Nurse: they’re to help you sleep...
Adrion: -i nod and swallow down the pills with a frown, I hand her the empty cups and both the nurses leave with a click of the door-
Dani (4:14:11 PM): I think I should go wash up...blood and dirt covered clothes aren't quite my thing to want to sleep in *chuckles*
Adrion (4:14:35 PM): -nods, chewing on my bottom lip and pulling away from you-
Dani (4:20:51 PM): *goes to the bathroom and tugs off rubgy jersey, grateful for the shirt underneath and then strips off shorts and shoes, putting the dirty clothes in the corner and washing my hands and face, and the scrapes on my arms and legs before coming back out into the room*
Adrion (4:21:37 PM): -is watching the tv absent mindedly, not really hearing it but the running of the sink clouding my thoughts-
Dani (4:23:52 PM): *decides I should leave my stuff on the chair in the corner of the hospital room instead of the bathroom cuz I don't want someone to throw them out, so I do that, and come back over to the side of your bed, softly stroking your hair*
Adrion (4:26:03 PM): -looks over at you, a little startled because I didn't hear you come in, and smiles a little- still gonna lay with me?
Dani (4:26:25 PM): only if you want me to...*grins*

Dani (4:30:33 PM): *gently lays down next to you, careful of tubing and all that, not quite sure how I should lay*

AT THE HOSPITAL – SNEAKING FOOD
Adrion (11:36:26 PM): -watches you leave, feeling really alone right now and hoping you'll be able to sneak me food-
Dani (11:39:31 PM): *heads to the cafeteria, giving the lady at the counter my signature grin, batting my eyes a little and getting a tray load of food for free- grins as I head back down the hall, quickly ducking into your room and shutting the door, laying the tray on the bed with a huge smile on my face* voila, love.
Adrion (11:41:48 PM): -grins and picks up a donut- eat with me? -looks up at you with a smile, knowing you havent eaten either-
Dani (11:42:14 PM): okay....*sits down on the bed, grabbing a piece of toast and chomping into it with a small smile*
Adrion (11:43:41 PM): this is a lot better than the food they actually serve you...-small smile, enjoying the donut-
Dani (11:44:28 PM): that's what a smile and batting eyelashes gets ya *smile widens*

Nurse: Your surgery is set up for early tomorrow morning, Mr. Greene. -to Dani- You'll need to get checked in for the procedure tonight
Dani (5:58:07 PM): *nods at her* all right... -to you- I should go call my parents and all that...let them know...
Adrion (5:58:39 PM): -nods and looks down at the food, suddenly not hungry-
Dani (6:06:15 PM): *gets of f of the bed and pads out into the hall, down to the phone and dials the number for my parents house, telling my mum when she gets on the phone about what's going to happen. She tells me that her and my dad will be coming there soon and to hold in there. After assuring her that i'll be fine, I hang up and go back to the room* my mum sends her love...
Adrion (6:07:11 PM): -smiles, a bit distantly and looks up at you-
Dani (6:10:33 PM): they're coming here. I told her they didn't have to. That I can take care of myself. But mum insisted...*shrugs*

Dani (7:16:51 PM): oh..actually....it was me that buzzed you, ma'am. I was wondering...if it was at all possible...if well...you don't mind....*looks down a little, acting shy and toeing the floor* if Adrion and I could go for a walk...just around the halls....i mean...we'll both be in bed for a week and all...*looks up again, eyes widened and lower lip out in a small pout*
Nurse: of course sweetheart... -smiles at the two of us and comes over, pushing some buttons on the heart monitor and coming over, taking the clip thing off of me- i'll expect you get him back within an hour... there’s a nice sitting room down the hallway -smiles and leaves-
Adrion (7:18:34 PM): -whispers to you, getting up- and you got a whole hour out of her
Dani (7:20:49 PM): *grins wide* am I good, or what? I think i'

Adrion (7:22:25 PM): that wouldnt surprise me -grins a bit and moves to the closet to get out my pants, taking off the paper gown and getting my clothes from the other night on- bad experiences with paper gowns taught me never to trust them..-smirks a little and gets my shirt on too before I come over to grip your hand-
Dani (7:23:16 PM): *smiles down at you, kissing your cheek, and grasps your hand a little before leading you out of the room*

Dani (1:12:54 AM): *looks down at you after a few minutes and notices you're asleep, smiling a little and lifting you into my arms to carry you back inside, past the nurse's counter and giving the one nurse a small smile-before heading to your room and laying you gently into your bed, pulling the sheet over you and kissing your forehead*

Nurse: the empty bed -points because there’s room for another patient in here- is reserved for you.

Adrion (12:53:06 AM): I'll get him up... -to the nurse, she nods and tells me they'll be in for prep in 20 minutes-
Adrion (12:53:33 AM): -slides off my bed and sighs, coming over to your bed and watching you sleep, biting my lip-
Dani (12:55:15 AM): *slings an arm across my face, nose crinkling again at the sunlight that prickles on my face*
Adrion (12:55:44 AM): -smiles and right this moment thinking about how beautiful you are, sinking down onto the small spot of your bed left open and touching your cheek-
Dani (12:56:22 AM): *lets out a small sigh, instinctively pressing cheek into your hand*
